Laptop black when projecting to screen

If your laptop screen goes blank when displaying to the projector, here is how to fix it:

1. Turn the projector on, plug in the VGA cable into the left side of the laptop, turn on the Elmo and select PC

You should see your computer on the screen, but black screen on the laptop

1. Press FN+F8 on your laptop keyboard
2. Look on the screen. You should see this:
   
   
3. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to highlight “Duplicate”
4. Press “Enter” on your keyboard

Your computer should now be showing on both the laptop and the screen
